Shouldered Vessel. Ø 35 cm H 30 cm — Ø 13.78” H 11.81”

Two clean lines define this upright vessel: the baseline and the pronounced shoulder line. Between them, the wall expands gently outward, giving the piece a strong and clearly articulated silhouette before the upper surface turns inward towards the opening.

Hollowed to an exceptionally thin wall, the vessel is remarkably light despite its solid appearance. Knots are allowed to remain present and influence the movement of the wood, creating subtle organic shifts that soften the strict geometry and draw the form slightly out of symmetry. Subtle dovetails are set around the pith to stabilise the natural cracks without concealing them.

Deep fuming gives the oak an intense, dark brown tone and reveals the rich patterns surrounding each knot. Walnut oil and beeswax add a soft sheen, enhancing the depth and tactile quality of the surface.
