Around two meeting hearts, the wood gently warped as it dried, settling into a soft undulation that gives life to its contour. A medallion of sapwood, lighter in tone and texture, contrasts the dense heartwood and animates the vessel’s calm balance. Inside the base, the surface reveals a fine web of cracks. Thin and light, the vessel feels almost weightless, its surface soft to the touch. Nuances of tone shift with the light, revealing the quiet elegance held within this imperfect form. Hand-turned from a section of oak once discarded at a local sawmill.
