Large floating upright vessel.

A small opening in the surface — a quiet trace of where a branch once grew. As the piece dried, the wood moved into an elegant undulation, giving the form a gentle lift above its base. A dialogue unfolds between the vessel’s grounded base and its living, uneven rim. Pale sapwood softens the lower edge, while the darker grain carries marks and scars from its earlier life. Warm in tone and light in hand, the vessel feels both grounded and suspended — a presence shaped by time and transformation. Hand-turned from a discarded section of oak found at a local sawmill.
