This form opens wide and shallow, resting lightly on a small tapered foot. Its thin rim rises in a continuous, even line, giving the vessel a calm precision. Almost translucent, the pale wood catches light like porcelain.
Hand-turned from ginkgo biloba, taken from a diseased tree in a private estate garden, it is part of a series of four vessels (OBE.11 – OBE.14) exploring the same fragile, paper-like nature in distinct forms. Its soft tone pairs beautifully with darker woods, heightening the sense of balance and contrast within the collection.
