This form stands upright on a fine, recessed base, giving it a light, floating presence. Its walls rise in a vertical line, the rim held in a calm, continuous contour. The pale surface reflects the light softly, accentuating the thinness of the material.
Hand-turned from ginkgo biloba, taken from a diseased tree in a private estate garden, it completes a series of four vessels (OBE.11–OBE.14) exploring the same fragile, paper or porcelain-like quality through varying proportions and posture.
