Large sculptural floor vessel

Ø 44/50 cm (17.5"/19.5"), H 50 cm (19.5").

Thinly turned from a solid section of oak, once left aside as offcut at a local sawmill. In its quiet drying, the timber moved and settled, unfolding into an organic, undulating form. Afterwards deeply smoked, the oak took on a rich depth of tone. Resting lightly on a subtle foot, the vessel seems to hover, while the presence of sapwood introduces a soft contrast and a play of shifting nuances across its surface.
